Capturing the Invisible, Lost in The Crowd

By: Dina Eid

El Moez is well known for its beautiful architecture and rich history that visitors often forget to observe its inhabitants – an important element that brings true meaning to that street. I walked around, focusing on the individuals who thought they were invisible amongst the crowds. I strike up a conversation, tell them I’d like to photograph them first then learn more about them. I capture their expression right when they’re talking or laughing or contemplating a response, trying to capture a glimpse of who they are and what drew me to them.
